A description of the little-known land where Asia's mightiest rivers gallop in harness through the narrow gateway of Tibet, its peoples, fauna and flora. 316p. frontispiece, ills and 4 maps including fold-out one at rear. This has a small tear to fold. Orange decorative cloth boards. Occasional foxing throughout. Dust jacket is quite worn, and has been repaired on inside. There are a few creases and some paper loss here and there. Price sticker on spine. Some insect damage to fore-edge. The famous plant hunter's travels in Tibet.
