13 pages pamphlet in the original printed cream wraps printing the speech delivered to the British Association in Cape Town on July 25th. 1929. Inscribed to Dr. I. B. Pole-Evans on the front wrapper.
Pole-Evans was a Welsh born South African Botanist and long term close friend and associate of Smuts, with whom he travelled to Lake Tanganyika in 1929. Pole-Evans and Smuts shared an interest in Botany and Natural Science and spent much time together, both in the field and at home. This item is thus an association copy of the greatest significance. An about fine copy.
