The first edition of one of the most difficult Schreiner "A" items and rather scarce. Olive Schreiner's fourth title to be published. A collaboration by Olive and her husband Cron. 148pp. with 8 pages of advertisements at the rear. All edges uncut.
In the original cloth binding which is rather soiled with some stains and some irregular fading. Internally the book is very clean, unmarked and unfoxed. One page, blank except for the words 'Part 1', has a 14mm. inconspicuous closed tear of the fore edge (see Image 4).
