A good-looking copy, re-backed sympathetically, preserving original decorated boards. 470 pp with etched frontis & 2 plates, numerous text illustrations by the artistically gifted author, and 3 maps of which 2 are folding. Generally in very good condition except for some foxing on frontis and map at rear, slight damp stain on frontis two inner corners, bookplate inside covers.
