169pp plus map at rear. Original cloth hardcover. B/w photo illustrations. Presentation inscription by author to front free EP, dated 29/09/1936.
Corners and spine ends are frayed. Cloth is starting to crack in places along the spine. Relaxed binding but still holding firm.
This little volume is not a history. Nor does it propose to be and exhaustive record of East Griqualand. It is a simple story of a great work accomplished in an obscure little South African Village, Ugie, amidst hardships and discouragements. What is told is only a small fraction of what has been done.
