Book Description: 8vo; 4987 pages. Hardcover. Original binding of black cloth with gilt lettering to spines. Top page edges tinted red. Patterned endpapers. Illustrated with maps.

Book Condition: Top page red-tinted edges faded, otherwise all volumes in very good condition throughout. Sporadic foxing throughout the six volumes. Owner\'s name penned to front loose eps of the first four volumes. Spine faded, somewhat tatty dustjackets, three of which (vols. IV, V and VI) are suffering some some paper loss to the spines.

6 volumes (complete) all 1st editions:
