Original light grey cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine and dark blue titling and a gilt decorative device on the upper board. xvi prelims, 336 pages, profusely illustrated with black and white photographic plates, 56 and fronits, mant have 2 images per plate, plus a folding map at the rear. CONDITION DETAILS:The spine has some fading and soiling and the corners are bumped. Pen name on free front end paper. The end papers are browned. One of the plates (page 244) is loose.
