Decorative green cloth boards, 237 pages, illustrated with black and white photos throughout.

Hinges cracked but intact, boards worn, some discolouration to rear board, corners bumped with some loss, tears to a few pages, inscription on inside front and verso of front free endpaper (George Gardner Roger, Germiston), small liquid stains to bottom corner of last pages, loss to lower corner of last leaf.

From the Introduction: "In the history of South African sport no event has caused so much real enthusiasm in South Africa, in the sporting man and the non-sporting man alike, as the despatch of the Rugby football team, which from its badge has become known, and will ever hereafter be identified as the Springbokken, to Great Britain".

A match-by-match account of the first Springbok tour, with reports, team line-ups and b&w action and team photos. The Springbokken Tour to Great Britain is one of the most sought after and scarcest publications in world rugby.
