Hunting in the open country near Mt. Kenia, the author bagged

a large variety of plains game including lesser kudu, gazelle,

impala, wildebeest, and eland, as well as lion and buffalo. Perhaps

the most exciting passage in this little volume is taken from a letter

written by Hepburn's companion, H. Lloyd Folsom, detailing the

dangers of a lion hunt, [Czech: An Annotated Bibliography of African

Big Game Hunting Books, 1785 - 1950 p.74]".
