Small 52pp. book with prelims in the original gilt lettered green bevelled buckram boards. Decorated endpapers. Numerous plates and illustrations. Some of the illustrations are photographic but a few reproductions of drawings/sketches are almost certainly the work of the missionary Frederick Christon (1850 - 1933) who was a highly accomplished artist. Of particular interest is the illustration on page 26 "Some of the publications of the Morija Press".
The boards and gilt lettering are bright and near fine. Both front and rear inner hinges are starting and the rear hinge has been reinforced with archival tape. Otherwise the book is very clean internally. An excellent copy of this scarce and unusual work.
