How it works

Register

The experiences of Sir Frederick Treves, the Surgeon to the British Army, during the Boer War. The first edition in the original limp leather boards. With fourteen illustrations from the original photographs. 109pp. plus 6pp. adverts at the rear. Top edge gilt and others edges uncut.

This title is almost always found in poor condition. This copy is possibly better than usual. The leather boards are rather scuffed with some surface loss. The worn spine has been reinforced/rebacked with modern book cloth creating a firm volume. There is moderate internal foxing not affecting the plates, the endpapers are browned and the front pastedown has a 9cm. crack/tear.
