Arthur Rackham
Latimor (Sarah Briggs) & Haskell (Grace Clark) Arthur Rackham, A Bibliography, (1936, reprinted Florida 1971), pages 61/62.
Gettings (Fred) Arthur Rackham, Studio Vista, London, reprinted 1976, page 143, ‘Rackham’s two great books of the twenties were James Stephens’ Irish Fairy Tales of 1920, and Shakespeare’s The Tempest of 1926, both of which exhibit the general softening of style, as well as the results of an obvious urge within Rackham to discover new forms of expression.
