Rebound in green and cream full leather, gilt lettering on spine new end papers. The name of the publisher appears at the bottom of the spine of all volumes except the index. Complete in seven volumes. All large fold-out maps present (one loosely inserted). Volume three has the rare suppressed plate of Major-General A. Fitzroy Hart (loosely inserted) as well as the replacement portrait. The even scarcer leaflet with instructions for the insertion of the corrected plate (see photo) is also included with the set. Very light scattered foxing on first and last pages of the volumes, otherwise a very clean and tight set.
