The Victoria Falls Zambesi River Sketched on the Spot

Frontis portrait of Thomas Baines, title page, 2 pages of the publisher\'s introduction, followed by the facsimile of the original coloured title page, text to page 8, followed by the 10 coloured plated (11 in total - including title page). Each plate has a tissue guard. CONDITION DETAILS: This copy does not come in the original box and does not have the transparent cover on the binding. Some of the tissue guards have insect damage - see image. The plates themselves are nice and clean. The binding has some wear and the hinges are starting to crack.
