A superior copy of the first edition of the third volume of the Narnia series. With mapped endpapers and illustrations by Pauline Baynes. In the original pale blue cloth which has a sliver of sunning/slight fading at each extreme of the spine but is otherwise bright and unmarked. Internally the book is just about fine with no markings or foxing whatsoever. In a very good plus price clipped dustwrapper which has very light wear and an 8mm. triangular chip at the top of the spine adjacent to the rear panel. The spine is very slightly dulled and the rear panel has some light age soiling - please see the images. Altogether a very nice copy and scarce thus.
