151 pages, folding map as frontispiece (Sketch of the positions of the British & Seikh Armies on the Sutledge, with troop positions coloured by hand), 3 folding plans partly hand coloured, 4 full-page plans, errata slip tipped in at page 81, original red cloth spine and blue paper-covered boards and a printed title label on the spine, bookplate on the front paste-down endpaper. The cloth of the spine is split at the bottom and frayed at both the top and the bottom, the paper boards are worn at the corners, some light foxing on the pages edges but the contents are crisp.
