32 pages + 16 pages commercial of advertisements and 3 leaflets bound in at the end, 4 photogravure plates, many full page & text illustrations, original green cloth gilt and patterned endpapers, a good copy.

With illustrations from drawings by several prolific artists of the time including, William Barnes Wollen who in 1900, was commissioned by the new illustrated weekly newspaper, The Sphere to act as one of its special artists in South Africa to cover the Boer War. His experiences during this war resulted in several paintings. Some pencil marks on the first few pages.
