An extensive and most important collection of 29 British Government Reports, being a primary source for the study of the Zulu War, Restoration of Cetewayo, Zulu Civil Wars, Relationships with the Boers, Surveys of the Country and the Establishment of Boundaries etc. etc.
Detailed correspondence regarding the Battle of Isandlwhana and the Defence of Rourke\'s Drift; of particular interest is the Report by Bromhead who was sent with a detachment to clean up the site of Isandlwhana which had lain abandoned by the British and Zulus for 6 months. Many Reports of military engagements and problems with the Boers and various native tribes as the Surveys and fixing of Boundaries was carried out.
Altogether the Reports contain 4,600pp. of text and 45 maps, mostly very large folding and fully or partly coloured, with a few Panoramas of the surrounding countryside.
All in printed blue paper wraps, a few of which are defective but internally in very good condition.
