This is an elephant folio sized (56 x 41cms.) portfolio containing 6 fine reproductions of Baines paintings housed in the Central African Archives. On the verso of each print is a reproduction of the original Baines inscription describing the scene as present on the original painting. Also present is the 20pp. letterpress insert with information about Baines and a list and description of the plates. Contained in the original cloth covered printed portfolio case. No. 389 of 500 copies published. Fairly uncommon.
The portfolio cover is in very good plus condition and the contents are fine.
