The \'Shadow Hero\' of the voyage of the Snark - Jack London\'s joyride through the South Seas - Martin Johnson went on to become an iconic wildlife moviemaker writer and adventurer. This early work is probably one of his best, and eclipses the works on the voyage by the renowned novelist and his wife. 369 pp with numerous bw plates. Covers a bit timeworn and gilt decorations and titling is faded; corners badly bumped.
