Signed by Couzens on title page. The story of "Trader" Horn (born Alfred Aloysius Smith, 1861–1931) who was an ivory trader in central Africa. His autobiography, TRADER HORN: A young man's astounding adventures in 19th century equatorial Africa, was made into a film. Couzens was awarded the Alan Paton Prize for Non-Fiction in 1993 for this title.
