A 32 page pamphlet with grey coloured pictorial wrappers printed in black. A brief history of South Africa and the Transvaal with 31 black and white illustrations and a map. There is no direct Boer War material, but rather a sketck of the background to war. Published by N.J.Boon, who was a publisher of illustrated magazines. See lot 122 for another magazine publication by N.J. Boon, "De Oorlog in Zuid-Afrika." CONDITION DETAILS: The first 16 pages are loose. there is a little soilng/light foxing internally and some page edges have a little edge wear. The number "1", in a circle, was drawn in pen on the bottom right hand corner of the upper wrap.
