Original green cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine. x prelims, 183 pages, 36 black and white photographic plates including the frontis. First published by Longmans, Green, and Co., London, 1899. CONDITION DETAILS: The binding is still strong and tight, but has a darkened spine and some scarring (white marks). The text has a bit of light foxing throughout.
