This copy is bound with a leather spine and oatmeal textured cloth and is signed on the title page by Gerrit Germishuizen and Anita Fabian. Enclosed is a letter from the publisher to the original subscriber, Mr. L H M Gill, whose name also appears on the list of subscribers. This list is printed on yellow paper and does not appear in the ordinary standard editions.
Loosely inserted is the original publisher's brochure with the order form detached and a pen note by Mr. Gill noting that he posted them a cheque for over 3 times the price of the forthcoming standard edition.
This Subscriber's edition is not to be confused with the Collector's Edition which was bound in full leather and numbered from 1 to 50. This Subscriber's Edition was not numbered and over a hundred copies were issued.
