Copy number 857 of the facsimile reprint limited to 1,000 numbered copies. Original brown buckram bindings with gilt titling on the spines. Volume one has 47 pages including a new frontis portrait and the introduction by A. Gordon-Brown and other information, followed by a facsimile of the original edition with viii prelims, 582 pages followed by the errata, 10 plates, 50 vignettes and the large folding map is loosely inserted at the rear. Volume two has 6 prelims, 648 pages, 10 plates and 46 vignettes.

CONDITION DETAILS: The top edge of volume one has some stains - see image - and its bottom corner is bumped leaving creases to the pages of the entire volume. Both volumes have a small bookseller's label on the front paste downs.
