Second London issue: 2 volumes: I. xii, 395; II. 403 pages, frontispiece in volume 1 – Encampment in the great Nimiqua Country, 11 engraved plates – 2 folding (including the plate at page 350 in volume II of ‘A Hottentot woman’ which is sometime referred to as the ‘suppressed’ plate), ‘Directions to Binder’ at page 404 in volume II, modern half calf with sprinkled paper boards, red title labels gilt on spines, uncut edges, light foxing on several pages, spotting on the page edges, a very good copy.
