The binding is much later, brown leather spine with gilt titling and blue pebble-grained cloth boards. New end papers. Title page, advertisement page, then paginated from one to 207, including the 5 pages of Preface and 7 pages of Introduction. CONDITION DETAILS: A reference copy for the text. The title page is soiled. The remaining pages have less soiling/foxing. The front hinge is broken, so the book is attached to the binding at the rear only. The free front end paper has \"The Maize Library\" sticker and a book seller\'s stamp.
