With superb pictures and text, this book looks at the twilight years of 1973 to the present day, during which time steam power has been steadily reduced in quantity, although not expected to disappear from SAR rails until the 1990's. Also included are the details of locomotives hired or sold to neighbouring countries in Southern Africa's 3ft 6in network as well as photographs.
