First Edition This pre-war Motoring Travel Book relates four of the authors expeditions, First we do London to Timbuktu in a Morris 10/4 Series 11. Next, still loyal to Morris, the 25, 6 cylinder job & Folkstone to Kano. The third trip & its a Phantom 111 Rolls-Royce this time, for (England to Nairobi). Mr. Symon's is enjoying this luxury travel so much that for the last journey its back to the Nuffield Group for a Wolseley 18/85 & the Cape Town Record. 10,000 miles plus in a month & a day & that despite taking a 30 foot plunge off a bridge into the river below. These trips are filled with adventure, hardship & elation dependant on the 'luck of the land'. The book which runs to 320pp + many photos & fold out Map is an amazing account of some really 'ripping tales'. The book is in generally good condition Dust Wrapper shows signs of wear and has been repaired.  Previous owners name and address on title page.Binding shows some sign of wear but is still tight. with no loose pages.
