This reprinted volume published in London by John Lane of the Bodley Head in 1947. 8vo, (viii), 766 pp. Rare in dust cover (plastic wrapped) which has chipping and small tearing on the edges, faded but legible spine and edges.
Original gilt titled green cloth with blind stamped bow designed by Eric Gill to upper cover. Bookseller’s sticker inside front cover. Relatively insignificant discolouring of pages.
A handsome, tight and attractive copy in rather good condition.
