An account of the Dorslandtrekkers who settled in Angola during the 1880s. A rare early account of big game hunting undertaken by Boers / Afrikaners. The author also dedicated a few chapters to the violent interaction between the Boers, the Portuguese and the Angolan tribes.

First edition: 368 pages, several illustrations, a good copy. This scarce book in Afrikaans has never been translated and remains a comprehensive and authoritative account of the Boers hunting in northern South West Africa and southern Angola, 1870-1920.
