A large format "Atlas" (375mmX572mm) sized, hardcover book in a dark blue imitation leather binding with bright gilt titles and blind stamped corner decorations on both front and back covers, in very good condition. Cased in the original publisher’s cardboard box with black titles and a sepia photographic portrait of Baines, within an orange-brown decorative edge, on the lid. Ten preliminary and 8 pages of text. Tissue guarded sepia photographic frontispiece showing Thomas Baines plus 11 tissue guarded colour plates, facsimiles of the original chromolithographs, including a facsimile of the original coloured title page.
Because of its large size this volume will cost more than usual in postage.
