Publisher's brown hardcover binding with embossed titles in gilt.
A series of 30 plates illustrating different aspects of the South African town of East London at the end of the 19th century.
The photographer George H. Dersley was based as a publisher in King William's Town from 1888-1904. His firm issued only four books, all of them being souvenir photo albums of Cradock, East London and two issues of King William's Town.
