How it works

'These pamphlets, together with some other productions of minor importance, were published by the "South African Vigilance Committee," mainly during the period between the fall of Bloemfontein and the declaration of peace (South African War, 1899-1902).'

The first paper is titled "The Voice of the Churches in Support of the Imperial Policy. The South African Churches declare for Annexation." Card wraps, 28pp.

The tenth paper is titled "An Afrikander on the Situation. Speech delivered by Mr. Advocate Wessels on the Occasion of the Inauguration of the Paarl Branch of the Guild of Loyal Women of South Africa. 6th June 1900." Card wraps, 13pp.

Mendelssohn lists twelve papers in the series, of which these are nos. 1 & 10.
