Ex library octavo, 298 pages, bound in maroon cloth boards, with gilt titles to the spine.
Head and heel are a bit bumped, and also has some rubbing along the edges of the book, due to general shelf wear.
The book has a frontispiece with a tissue guard, 4 collotype plates and 11 other illustrations from author's drawings and photographs.
Ex Library stamps on the front pastedown/endpapers, also has previous owner’s inscription on the front endpapers.
Overall, the binding and the book are in good condition.
