Compiled and edited by Edward Bartlett. The front paste down has the booksellers, W.H. Smith & Sons, label. Original dark blue pictorial cloth boards with gilt tilting on the spine and the upper board. 15 prelims, 373 pages, 23 black and white illustrations, followed by 2 pages of the publiser's advertisements.
CONDITION DEATAILS: The binding is worn and soiled and the hinges are cracked, but holding. End papers browned. The plate facing page 65 is loose. The text and illustrations are in very reasonable condition a with few minor soil marks.
