With Full Descriptions by Professor R.H. Compton and a Foreword by John Paris. 

Title, colophon and foreword printed on four pages (one folded sheet) and 4 loose coloured collotype plates of flowers with full captions on the backs, contained in a grey paper folder with green cloth back and fold-in flaps with cloth hinges. A very good copy. 

The colophon reads:  

This First Sheaf of Wild Flowers of the Cape of Good Hope has been designed and produced by The Folio Society of London, under the personal supervision of Charles Ede. Printed in London at The Chiswick Press, the Plates have been reproduced by Colour Collotype Facsimile on Millborne Pure Rag Hand-Made Paper. The publication has been strictly limited to 1000 numbered copies of which Numbers 1 – 500 constitute the South African Edition.
