Translated by M.H. le Roux & M.M. Oberholster-le Roux, this describes Murray's sojourn in south-central Malawi, as part of the Dutch Reformed Church's mission to the Ngoni 'pagans' (offshoots of the Zulu expansion of the early-mid- 19th century) from 1889. As usual, much on customs of the Malawians and on the distribution & history of other missions to Nysasaland, following Livingstone's arrival there in the mid-1800s; and on the beautiful Lake Nyasa.
