Czech (Kenneth) Bibliography of African Big Game Hunting Books 1785 -1999, page 264: Bowing to the wishes of his wife to go on a wedding trip across Africa, this experienced big game hunter later regretted exposing her to dangers from wild animals, beasts, waterless bush country and “two white men, an outlaw and a madman. The newly weds travelled by canoe down the Kunango and Kubango Rivers in Angola, hunting lion, hippo and lechwe. The Stahams eventually reached the Zambesi, but there is little description of their journey to the east coast.
