How it works

There are two books in this job-lot. 1) The first book is edited by Commander Chas. N. Robinson. The title on the spine and the cover is \"With Roberts to the Transvaal\", which is, in fact, the title of the second part of this work. The title of the First part is \"A Pictorial History of South Africa and the Transvaal.\" Original red cloth boards with black decorations and titling on the spine and the upper board. Black end papers. Part 1 has 112 pages. Part 2 has 128 pages. Profusely illustrated in black and white and maps. Published by Geo. Newnes, Limited, London but not dated. CONDITION DETAILS: Internally reasonably clean, but a few page creases. The binding is clean with little wear. 2) The second book is \"War in South Africa and the Dark Continent From Savagery to Civilization. The Strange Story of A Weird World From the Earliest Ages to the Present, Including the War with the Boers...\" by William Harding. Original pictorial light green cloth boards with red and black decorations and titling. Light green end papers. 550 pages, fold out colour map and black and white illustrations. Published in Chicago by \"The Dominion Company\" and \"Sold by Subscription Only\". CONDITION DETAILS: The binding has some wear and soiling, but the major flaw is the fact that the first 10 pages are loose.
