How it works

Register

Large hardcover Octavo bound in three-quarter morocco leather with green cloth sides, Volume 1 has 364 pages and Volume 2 has 716 pages. Both Volumes; have gilt titles on the front boards and to the spines (with Library markings).

Both Volumes are in poor condition, head/heal and corners are bumped, a lot of rubbing along the edges due to general shelf-ware. Marks/scratches can be seen, slight water stains on both volumes.

Illustrated with black and white photographs and authentic sketches taken in South Africa, illustrations also include portraits, places and fold-out maps, literally hundreds of pictures and news articles. Previous owner’s inscriptions can be seen on end-papers, decorative paste-downs/end-papers.

Overall, contents are reasonable, lots of Historical information, but both Volumes boards are in poor condition.
