New spine and original maroon pebble grain cloth covered boards with gilt titling on the upper board - but not on the spine. Dark coloured end papers. Errata slip. 200 pages, a total of 20 black and white illustrations, of which two are plans and the rest photographic. The first fold out photographic illustration is a facsimile.

CONDITION DETAILS: This copy has been extensively repaired and is a working copy. The spine is new and has no titling. The end papers are not entirely original and the rear free end paper is a new sheet of paper coloured to look like the original. The contents page is a facsimile. The fold out photographic illustration is a copy, with a portion of the original loosely inserted. There is some foxing/spotting throughout.
