Hardcover Quarto bound in light brow full leather with 316 pages. The leather is dry with some marks, and is rubbed and peeling along all the edges. Gilt titling on the front.
Some pages are creased and has been repaired otherwise the contents are good. Interesting illustrations of portraits and biographies throughout the book.
After the half title page, there is a photograph of her Excellency Viscountess Gladstone, with a tissue guard. Binding is good and the book is in good condition, considering the date.
