The object of this book is to facilitate the traveller's itinerary in Italy, by indicating at a glance the most notable places and works of art in the cities through which he travels... areas listed include Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Venetia, Emilia, Tuscany, Umbria, Latium, Campania, Abruzzi-Apulia, Sardinia, and Sicily; and the appendix includes genealogical charts of the nobilities of Milan, Mantua, Urbino, Valois-Orleans, Kings of Naples, and the Medicis; 623pp. beautifully bound in full leather with metal clasps, raised bands bound in to both front and back boards, blind stamping with fleur-de-lis motif. All illustrations and photographs in black and white.

Condition: the contents, binding and end-papers are all in very good condition, with some yellowing of page edges. The leather boards are also good, with some marking and staining, and a little cracking of the leather starting at the hinges at the top of the spine. One leather band holding a clasp is missing.
