30 volumes: engraved frontispiece and additional vignette title to several volumes, others with frontispiece only, all illustrated with wood engraved plates with tissue guards, late nineteenth century full tan polished calf bindings, decorated gilt panels on the spines with red and green title labels gilt, marbled end papers and edges, very minor wear at the top of some spines, ownership mark G M Fowler 1886 on a front free end paper in the volumes, a near fine set.
Volume I dated 1874 on the title page, other volumes without a date.
