Five issues of this very scarce avant-garde Afrikaans and later bilingual South African literary magazine which comprised only 12 numbers in total, issued between 1966 and 1970. The numbers on offer are 3, 5, 9, 10 and 11. 60pp. to 128pp. Apart from the predominantly literary content there were also several graphic contributions by South African artists. Two of the issues in this lot have covers with Wopko Jensma graphic designs. Wurm was a precursor to Izwi which followed in 1971.
Wurm was published in very small editions. For example, Number 5 in this lot is hand signed and numbered 141/190 by the then editors, Marie Blomerus and Phil du Plessis. Issues are very seldom on offer in the South African book market. All 5 numbers are in very good condition.
