The Special Edition numbered 48 of a limited print of 100 only. Signed by all three authors on title page.

350 pages, well illustrated with colour and black and white photographs.

This is the story of the Imperial Yeomanry Hospital at Deelfontein, Orange Free State. It is much more than a story of an Anglo-Boer War hospital. It is also a tale of bravery, sacrifice, medical advances, adventure, love. Here, at an isolated railway siding in the heart of the Great Karoo, the British Army established the largest, most sophisticated medical surgical hospital during the Anglo-Boer War.
