Former copy of Marius Philip Olivier Burgers (1909-1962), a popular radio host for SABC who was also an author and playwright. Burgers wrote biographies on C.J. Langenhoven and C.L. Leipoldt as well as a dramatised version of Eugene Marais' novella Die Wegraak van Sannie, published in 1930 as Sannie and writing as Olivier Burgers. He was the brother of comedy actor Frederik Burgers.
