First Edition: 70 pages of letterpress and 24 photographic plates, 5 text illustrations, original printed light card wrappers, a very good copy.

This monograph is a catalogue of the Pacific artefacts collected by Anders Sparrman during Captain James Cook's second voyage. The 24 collotype plates illustrate rare items such as Maori hei-tiki, Tongan clubs, and Tahitian mourning dress components.
