Czech (Kenneth) Bibliography of African Big Game Hunting Books 1785 -1999, page 279, 'Though a relatively recent African title, this has already become a sought after classic in the field, and has been reprinted several times. Taylor explores all facets of African rifle shooting, from cartridge selection and actions to ballistics and marksmanship. Calling on his own wealth of experience, he evaluates different loads and how they work on various types of African game. There is even a chapter on choosing a revolver and an auxiliary weapon. In his opinion, the .375 magnum was the best choice as an all-round cartridge. This title is still considered the bible on the subject.'
